different color letter in a text

Hi, newbie here. I just joined. Happy New year to every one. Big thanks to owner and mods for accepting my bid to join. I have a question for the forum.

I have a friend who has an iPhone. I have a Samsung. she is in my contacts log, and I am of course in her contacts as 'gordo' because that is how she calls me. yesterday she sent me a a text some of the fist words including 'gordo' were in blue. only at the beginning. then, below the text I see my name gordo dot ca. as in gordo.ca
When I click on that it takes me to a sort of gif of a a little man typing on a computer.

I told her that and if she was texting from her phone or from a computer. she told me the text came from her phone.
Can anyone explain if this is a common thing when you text on an iPhone?.
I am attaching a screenshot here so you have a visual of what I have described. she is not computer savvy at all and I know a little bit but not savvy at all either.
I will appreciate your feedback on that. Just a matter of curiosity. Thanks.
